International Tour Guide

The international tour guide class is a short-term professional training class exclusively for tour guides. This training program is considered a mandatory training program for those who will, have been practicing as an International Tour Guide, it can be said that completing the course and achieving the minimum requirements is conditions for students to receive a license to practice as a domestic tour guide.

I. Objectives of the international tour guide training course:
♦ Supplement students’ knowledge about geography, history, culture, economy – society, politics of Vietnam. Training skills and professional tour guide for students working within the territory of Vietnam and internationally.
♦ Equip students with knowledge about tourism and tour guide profession.
♦ Additional conditions for students to get a license to practice as a domestic tour guide depending on their level.
II. Contents of the tour guide training program:
♦ Target audience: For students who have graduated from high school, college, university or higher but different majors or tourism but are not majoring in tour guides.
♦ Training period: 01 month – 02 months.
III. Lecturers:
As lecturers with a master’s degree or higher, specialized in expertise, have been in charge of teaching at colleges and universities at home and abroad, besides the presence and support of travel businesses – domestic and foreign travel services.
IV. Practice card:
♦ Domestic tour guide practice card issued by HCMC Department of Tourism. Ho Chi Minh City and DEPARTMENT OF CULTURE, SPORTS AND TOURISM PROVINCES nationwide.
V. Admission procedure and application file for issuance of a tour guide practice card:
♦ 02 3×4 photos (white font, according to international standards).
♦ 01 certified true copy of diploma of secondary school/college/university or higher within 06 months or 01 notarized translation for degrees studied abroad.
♦ 01 certified true copy of foreign language certificate (if international card – green card).
♦ 01 original certificate of completion of the tour guide course at Ly Nguyen training center.
♦ 01 medical certificate from the hospital of District (or District) or more, pasted and stamped on the picture (within 03 months).
♦ 01 curriculum vitae certified by the locality according to permanent residence (use resume template for job application).
♦ Card application form (received at the training institution).
